The Team
Collegeology uses a team approach!
Robert (Bob) Dannenhold, a Northwest resident since 1988, shaped an approach to college counseling by 20 years experience creating and directing a non-profit learning center in Southern California. The center was commended by the American Academy of Pediatrics for its highly individualized model for improving academic success by including the students themselves, parents, teachers and other professionals in the process of defining each student’s abilities, learning style and goals.
This same strategy has been applied to college counseling with tremendous success, making Bob a much sought-after speaker and mentor in the field. He is a member of National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC), Pacific Northwest Association of College Admission Counseling (PNACAC) and Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), serving as HECA president from 2005-2007. He is also the recipient of the 2004 PNACAC Distinguished Service to Youth Award.
Robyn Campbell joined the Collegeology team in 2004. She comes from a varied professional background, working in college admissions and intercollegiate athletic marketing during her years as an undergraduate. After graduation Robyn turned her talents with both words and technology into a job developing on-line educational software.
Robyn enjoys helping students find their own voice in writing the college essays. By keeping students organized and excited about their futures, she also helps them tame the stress that can be involved with the application process. Robyn is a member of NACAC, PNACAC and HECA.
Kara Dannenhold has many years of experience working with children with spectrum disorders. With her BA in Speech Sciences, B.Ed in Problem Based Learning and M.Ed in Special Education, focusing on Positive Behavioral Support and Functional Analysis, Kara has positively influenced many students and their families. Kara brings with her experience as a classroom teacher, district and hospital consultant on Autism Spectrum Disorder, and ABA therapist. Kara believes in a transdisciplinary approach to education, as each and every element in a student’s life needs to be recognized as having an effect on that student’s educational development. She is excited to take this approach to higher education, working one-on-one with students on the spectrum to successfully prepare and transition to college.
